The film is a romantic comedy by Universal Pictures starring Mae Morton as Issa Rae, a photographer whose estranged mother is a famous photographer. Upon finding a photograph in a safe-deposit box of her mother, Mae begins a journey of unlocking her mother’s past, what she didn’t count on was falling in love.

The screenplay writer and director is Stella Meghie.

Here’s a movie that’s perfect for a ‘Date Night.’ I enjoyed the two stories that were woven into the tale. The film toggles back and forth between Issa’s past life and Mae’s new romance with a news reporter played by Michael Block. The chemistry between the two main actors is enchanting.

I enjoyed the fresh, modern take on an old fashion story of falling in love.
