Hi Carl, and hello to all of our listeners out there. Tonight, I’m going to talk about the movie “Dog” that’s playing in theaters. Channing Tatum stars as Briggs, a former Army Ranger who was forced off duty due to a traumatic brain injury. He’s longing to get back to his job and his company of men. His life does change reasonably quickly when he’s asked to drive a military dog from Washington to Arizona to attend a fallen soldier’s funeral.

The film becomes a buddy road-trip comedy with misadventures along the way. Post-traumatic stress disorder, of both Briggs and his dog campion, Lulu are addressed along with techniques in calming a spirit. Of course, they meet whacky people yet find common ground in the end.

Channing Tatum tries is hand at directing, of which he did a great job. He co-directed with Reed Carolin.

The Bottomline? I’m in three stars out of four, It’s been a few years since we’ve seen Channing Tatum as the lead, and here he carries the entire film on his own, with only the help of a dog.

I’m happy to say he succeeded as the story has just the right amount of humor mixed with redemption and healing, making for a heartwarming film. Whether you are a dog lover or not, this one is for everyone.

Thanks for listening in tonight this is Sarah Knight Adamson, your national film and TV Critic, and I’ll see you next week. Check out Dog; I think you’ll like it!
