Hi Carl and hello to all of our listeners out there, I’m Sarah Knight Adamson your National film and TV critic for Hollywood 360 Radio Network. “The Odyssey” is rated R and playing in theaters now. Director Christoper Nolan is known for the classic World War 2 hit movie Dunkirk (2017): here he takes us, and actor Matt Damon to an Greek. The film was shot on location in Greece, Italy, Morocco, Iceland, Scotland and Malta.
The story is based on Homer’s ancient Greek epic poem, which by-the-way is a work of “mythological fiction.” While it uses real historical backdrops like the Trojan War and ancient Greek city-states. It is heavily layered with monsters, gods, and magic.
Other cast members include, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron and Samantha Morton
“The Odyssey” is now the best movie I’ve seen this year as it is very engaging, with jaw-dropping scenes of action and different scenery. Matt Damon is tremendous in his roll!
